Responsibilities

Christopher M. Pries is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer and a Managing Director for NexGen Capital Advisors, LLC, NexGen Capital Consultants, LLC and NexGen Capital Investors, LLC (collectively, NexGen Affiliates).  He is also a principal of NexGen Capital Partners, LLC, the parent of the NexGen Affiliates, and is responsible for leading all accounting, finance and operations activities, including the supervision of all investment due diligence activities.

Experience

Mr. Pries has more than 14 years of finance, audit, risk management and senior management experience.  He most recently served as Director of Internal Audit at Navigant Consulting, Inc. (Navigant), an $800 million, publicly traded, specialized consulting firm.  At Navigant Consulting Mr. Pries was responsible for all aspects of audit and risk management across the company, including finance, operations and client service delivery.

Prior to Navigant, Mr. Pries was Vice President at Jones Lang LaSalle, Incorporated (JLL), a $2.5 billion corporate real estate services company with operations in more than 100 markets around the globe, a portfolio of 915 million square feet of property under management and $39.9 billion of investment assets under management.  He was a member of a global team with a specific focus on finance, information technology, and operations risk management for the European and Investment Management lines of business.  At JLL, Mr. Pries also served as an Ethics Officer and liaison to the General Counsel’s office. Other roles have included Senior Analyst and Senior Consultant at A.T. Kearney, Inc. and Arthur Andersen, LLC.

Education

Mr. Pries received a BS degree in accounting, Strobel Honors Program, from DePaul University.

Certifications

Mr. Pries is a Registered Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois and a Certified Internal Auditor.

Civic and Professional Involvement

Mr. Pries is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Internal Auditors.  Mr. Pries serves as Co-Chair of the Chicago Leadership Council of Lambda Legal.
